Jan Hulzebosch was born in 1956 on a mixed farm with poultry, cattle and pigs in the Eastern part of Holland, near the German border.
After high school he studied animal husbandry at the Agricultural College in Dronten.
In the last year of his study he specialized in poultry husbandry. He did his final assignment at the Poultry Health Institute in Doorn.
In 1979 he started working as a trainer for a well-known international training institute on pig and poultry husbandry and milling technology in the Nether lands. (Barneveld College/PTC+)
At Barneveld College he was the specialist in housing, equipment and climate control of poultry.
In this period, he visited many poultry farms in Holland and in many other countries around the world.
In 2008 he moved to a German company named Salmet. This is a company designing, selling, producing, and installing layer and broiler projects worldwide.
At Salmet he was regional business manager for the Middle East, which means that he was responsible for the design the sales and the installation of large poultry projects in this region.
In 2016 he was project manager for Salmet for the installation of a broiler project of 30 houses with broilers on cages in Zhanjiang ( China) For CP.
In 2017 he started his own company: Dutch Poultry Management Support (DPMS).
He is active in Holland and around the world, to organize trainings, give presentations and seminars, on:
- The technology of housing, equipment , climate and innovations in the poultry industry.
- And on trends , and developments in poultry industry world wide.
- Beside that he does audits on farms and advises the farm management, on improvements regarding housing, equipment and climate.
Jan Hulzebosch is married and has 2 sons and 2 daughters and 2 grand children.
