Dr. John Hanlin is vice president of Food Safety for Ecolab. In his role, Dr. Hanlin works closely with Ecolab R, D & E to develop new technologies and programs for safe food and water.
Dr. Hanlin received his BSc in Biology and Microbiology from the University of Edinburgh, MBA in Business Administration from Temple University and a PhD in Biology and Microbiology from Syracuse University.
Prior to joining Ecolab in 2011, Dr. Hanlin spent more than 15 years in the food industry, holding key food safety and quality positions at both food manufacturing and retail companies, including General Mills and Campbell Soup Company. Dr. Hanlin was invited to testify before the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Agriculture to provide recommendations to policy makers on how to modernize and improve the safety of the nation’s food supply. He holds patents on food safety preservation systems.
