He is Irish Food Fraud Contact Point and a member of the European Union’s Food Fraud Network (EU FFN) and an active contributor to this forum. Administrative Assistance and Cooperation contact point for the EU AAC FF system, coordinating the Irish input and the response to cross border frauds from other EU Member States and 3rd Countries.
Irish Representative for Operation OPSON, the INTERPOL/Europol coordinated food fraud programme and attends the meetings of this group. He selects the targeted operations that Ireland will participate in and I am currently leading the Equine Identification targeted action together with the Netherlands and Belgium. Over 80 countries worldwide participate in this operation and he meet annually to review the programme and decide on the future priorities. He served as an Advisory Board Member on the EU Food Integrity Project.
