Dr. Omar is the Regional Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Manager for the Kraft Heinz Company, based in Dubai. Leading the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Strategy for more than 600 SKUs in 22 countries in Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and Pakistan.
Dr. Omar has more than 13 years of experience in food safety, quality, and regulatory systems in the Middle East and Egypt. He is also a certified trainer and auditor for different standards such as ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, etc. Author of ISO 9001 implementation book “Keep it Simple” that has supported many Quality Managers to implement effective Quality Management System. He conducted about 500 audits on quality and food safety management systems in different countries e.g., KSA, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Rwanda, Uganda, etc.
Besides his bachelor’s degree of Science in Veterinary Medicine, he holds a master’s degree in strategic planning from Heriot-Watt University, a Master’s degree in Food Safety Management system from the University of Central Lancashire, and two professional post-graduate diploma in Food hygiene and Total Quality Management. He is an expert in building QMS and FSQ Culture. He believes that “everyone deserves to have everything in his life exactly the way he wants it”.
